Clan Feud: Base Game Overview
Print and play files:
Please note the game also uses a large number of custom six-sided dice, which I have not provided printable versions of above. If you want to play at home using regular D6s, the following conversions can be used:
30 white dice + 1 gold dice: 1/2/3 = 1; 4/5 = 2; 6 = 3
24 black dice: 1/2/3 = 1; 4/5/6 = 2
5 green + 5 purple + 5 red dice: 1/2 = 1; 3/4 = 2; 5/6 = 3

In addition I have not provided printable token versions of the troops miniatures: I recommend that a standard set of miniatures from a game of Risk can be used instead.
Each turn is split into three phases. In phase 1, the players set turn order then recover dice from their player board and roll them, ready to be used in Phase 2.

Phase 2 is the main focus of the gameplay, where players take turns assigning dice one at a time to a free slot on their player board and resolving the associated action. There are 5 different actions:

-
Gain feud tokens or modify other dice rolls
-
Income to gain Scots pounds based on area control on the game board
-
Build to upgrade their player boards, gain more dice and place new buildings on the main game board
-
Intrigue to draw action cards and gain victory points
-
Military to move or recruit armies in the games board
In phase 3 the active objective from last turn is scored by all players, then a new event card is drawn, which modifies the England track and moves automated English armies as well as revealing the objective for next turn. Finally players pay upkeep to keep their troops on the game board.

The game uses custom dice of different colours, with different combinations of face values between 1 and 3. The king, James VI, is represented by a special pawn and the player who controls him becomes regent with associated bonuses.

In combat, players can secretly bid a number of feud tokens to increase their combat strength. The highest combat strength rolls dice to determine casualties on both sides.

England are represented by the England track, and when a certain point is reached automated hostile English armies spawn at a randomised location and attack the nearest Scottish army.

Victory points are scored by the Intrigue action, playing some action cards, defeating English armies, event card scoring at the end of every turn and end game scoring. The player with the most victory points at the end of the game is declared the most powerful clan in Scotland, and the winner!
